Acrusure seeks to identify, avoid where reasonably possible, manage and disclose conflicts that could affect advice or intermediary services. These commitments apply to management, representatives and relevant staff.
A conflict can arise from commission, broker fees, ownership interests, gifts, referral arrangements, personal relationships or incentives that could influence recommendations. Client needs and suitability must remain central to the service provided.
Approximately 37% of Acrusure's total remuneration comes from Santam. Acrusure has no binder agreement with Santam or any other insurer and no delegated underwriting or claims settlement authority.
Where charged, typical broker fee amounts are R80-R100 for personal lines and R100-R150 for commercial lines. The actual fee is disclosed in the quotation or policy schedule and accepted through the signed Broker Appointment Letter. The insurer collects it alongside the premium. Clients may request removal of the fee and opt out of the associated additional services.
Relevant conflicts and benefits must be recorded, assessed and managed. Material conflicts must be disclosed to affected clients. Management may require an interest to be avoided, a benefit to be declined, a different handler to be appointed or an independent review to be obtained.
Tilly Horn oversees the policy, supported by external compliance oversight from Andrea Venter / INF Comply. Populated conflict and gifts registers may contain confidential or personal information and are not published in full. Required public and client-specific disclosures must nevertheless be made.
